Man, i love mechanical keyboards. In this project, I was aiming for a more solid, adult, and fancy look of Keychron K2 v2. So I made keycaps dark and glossy because black and glossy things automatically feel strict and stylish :>
I was inspired by cool guys and gals of Behance and wanted to try to make a product visualization project too. It turned out not that perfect, but at least i know the workflow now, and it was a good study :>
I bought this exact same keyboard just a month ago. Itās awesome, and so clicky!
Itās not as bad as youād think. Since I use the ~ key for viewport navigation, the only thing that bothered me was missing out on grow and shrink selection with ctrl+ and -, which was easily fixed with a quick key rebinding.
Itās amazing how objects as āsimpleā as a keyboard or a glass, sometimes give a more interesting result than renders that have very complex objects.
Thank you!! Yes, youāre right, K2 v2 has the grey keycaps, but i really wanted to try my skills on rendering black on black, so for this i created my own super custom keycap set, so yeah:>
Glad you like it, thanks! It was a really random idea, but i kinda happy how it turned out, though lighting for this shot was the hardest thing ever.
What an amazing job you have done there. I use the K2 my self, and I must say it looks more real than the real thing!! Just one question though, would you be kind enough to share the Blender file?? I am just starting out with Blender and this just for my own personal learning process. Pretty please??
