I recently completed this scene of a present day kitchen. I can’t use Cycles (7-year old rig T_T), so I rendered with Blender Internal and did a little paint-over in Photoshop. It’s not intended to look closer to painted, not photo-realistic anyway.
Below is the raw render before I adjusted it in Photoshop. I could’ve used the compositor for some stuff, but it’s a PITA for what I wanted to do.
There’s a few CC0 objects such as the fruit and the kettle (just to save time), but other than that I modelled the rest myself.
