Knife Cut

I’m working with Vista and LCD display and G31/33 intel chip set
i know there are still some bugs
i’m trying to cut an edge with the knife but i cannot make the icon cut the edge

i can see the icon knife but it dioes not cut

anybody knows how to do it ?

lmb drag. as you drag, you will see purple line. no bugs.only cuts selected edges. User Manual

Make sure the edge is not part of a previously cut edge. If so un select, then select your edge and that should work. Drag the knife acroos the edge and press enter

i did the drag but there is no purple line and no cut action

i could do that with my old comoputer no problemo but with this new computer
several things are not as it should be including the knife!

no, has nothing to do with computer. Are you in Edit mode? Did you select all the edges? Did you press K and get the popup menu? Did you get a chance to follow the link I gave you? Did you select midpoint cut?

there is a bug for the intelchip set and i have it

but may be there is a way around it

i got the curosr changed into a knife and when i try to cut with it it dioes not work with the LMB

by the way is there a way to download the book you gave in reference it seems more advanced then the one i downloaded
