L-System Errors?

I wanted to use L-System, so I downloaded the .blend. I click on the file and it opens up. I change nothing, but when I press ALT-P I get a message saying ‘Python Script Error: check console’. Being a Pythonic Noob, I can’t find the console. :frowning:

What should I do? And is there isn’t a better way to make trees?

Thanks

OK, I found the console, and it says something about lines 1024 and 721.

mikey,
some more info please,
where did you get the script from?
do you have python installed?
version of blender you are using?

OK, sorry about that.

I’m running Blender 2.48, and I’m sure I have PYTHON installed, as I’ve run other scripts.
I downloaded it from here, which was the site i was pointed to.

hi, ok, go here:
Wizards Menu Toolkit.
Download the pack.
A newer version by the same author is provided in .blend format.
There are also extra texture s included.
Any probs, just ask.

Thanks, but I still don’t know what to do. I’ve installed the Wizard thing, but now what? If I open the blend file again, same error!

hmm, strange, did you get python from here? http://www.python.org/download/

No, so I downloaded it from there and installed it. Same error. Do I have to do something with the Blender Preferences or Python Preferencess?

Do you still get the error with 2.49a?
When you open Blender does the console say that Python was found?
In your User Preferences, there is a default Python Scripts path, check that this points to the location of your Python Scripts.(If you have more than one version of Blender you will have more than one .blender/scripts location)

I haven’t installed 2.49, but now when I run all other scripts, they work fine, it’s just the L-System. BTW, I’m using OS 10.5.8

Did you test this one : http://jmsoler.free.fr/util/blenderfile/images/lsystem/lsystem.htm
