One of my favourite car…you did a great job and the attention to the details is top level.
I really like it.
One thing I don’t understand is those dark signs on the ground that seems like tyre marks but if they should be them, they should be scaled up…if not, what do they stand for?
I think that we should already set the vehicle winner for the Best of BA artists 2026. ![]()
I’m joking…but it’s really well done.
Love the lighting and detail, an incredible car and an incredible render.
Simply fantastic! Superb material execution, lighting and rendering.
Congratulations!
Awesome work!
Wow!

If there will every be a blenderartist category “Most insane level of detail”, you’ll be in. What a great work!
Would you be so kind to post some wireframes? Would you also be so kind to give a rough estimation on how many working hours you put into the modelling stage?
Thank you for posting!
What so sick!!! really want to finish my Shelby Cobra i started many years ago. Never truly finished her. Also wanted to give the car and engine. But modeling such a thing is daunting on me. Did you watch any tutorials or have tips for modeling all those quite difficult parts? What’s “scares” me, is all those separate shapes being one mesh object and then have proper topology.
This is what i ended up with. Dont want to hijack your thread of course
oh my god. bloody details, a lot of work!
my respects
WOW dude. This is incredible work. It’s also really nice to see you’re still doing 3D and posting here. I remember interacting with you years ago.
The engine and chassis are incredible. What did you use for references?
Edit: haha I just went down memory lane, I found your old Miura thread from 2014 which is where I remember interacting with you. You’ve always been great at modeling but your rendering has taken a really big leap! Would love to know some of your techniques with the HDR and shadow drop, it looks incredible here.
Thanks man! I remember you too! It’s been a while!
Decided to redo this as it was haunting me in the hard drive…
Found some pages for Miura rebuild project so there were a lot of reference photos from various stages of the project. Engine rebuild etc.
For lighting I used Hdri and backplate. In some cases there are hidden light planes too to give some extra glint. And just plane with asphalt texture for ground. Nothing too sophisticated!
Been in VFX industry for years as a lighting artist so that been helpful in the lighting and shader side! ![]()
