Back to landscapes. I’m currently using Vue for rendering because it does skies the best, but it’s slow. Most concept development and modelling (except for purchased assets) will be done in Blender.

More atmosphere studies, mostly to do with aerial perspective and sense of scale. And here’s a version with a slightly higher sun, moved a little to the front…

Oh, I like that. Ominous!

Rock arch uses an interesting technique in Vue of baking metablobs to geo and applying displacement materials. Can do something similar in Blender.

Thanks :slightly_smiling_face: The composition is quite close to the painting I was essentially copying (do an image search for Efim Volkov) but playing around with the lighting was interesting.
