Hello all
As its my birthday soon and I have a small amount of credit left on a credit card I am thinking of buying a new laptop so I can productively blend at college.
The only two real contenders seem to be the Dell Vostro 1400 and 1500.
The 1500 has the Nvidia 8600M GT which looks really good but the laptop weighs a tonne and I’m a weakling. The 1400 has a more acceptable weight and has the 8400M GS chip.
Would I be doing myself a great disservice by not bying the 1500? Would a 7000 series chip be as good.
Any ideas, experience or alternatives very welcome.
