Hi! I’ve posted this model before, but I made a new render in Octane (0.7 alpha) and I think it came out very nice.
Very nice!
The floor seems a little too difused with this lighting setup… might be nice to crank some lights!
So what do you think of octane? how’s the blender integration?
Well done. It looks like I can just pick him up and roll him down the park slide
. What graphics card do you have, and how long did it take to render?
I’m very excited about octane, blender integration works very well through .obj exporter. It reads all the materials and textures correctly, you just have to assign shader types in octane and tweak the settings, which is FUN when you see the result right away.
I have a geforge 9600gt, and this render took little over 2 hours, mainly because of the top lights. Other parts looked fine after 10 minutes or so. It feels very fast compared to cpu renderers… Geforce 275gtx should give something like 2,5x speed improvement, I’m getting that card soon.
Very nice! looks amazingly realistic…
This is one of the best LEGO renders I have ever seen!
Very realistic. Great Job!
Really awesome, the only problem I see is the arms don’t look quite right, other than that really amazing job.
You have nailed the materials really well in this one. A question: does Octane support caustics?
