I need help to continue on my lowpoly character, I am not sure how to continue with the legs without making it look like a bad piece of work. Also, if you have some constructive criticism on my model, then please tell me.

You need to look in the wiki, for the modeling tuts. They explain how to carry on. There are so many ways and so very many tutorials online to view and download.
