The point of a person is to experience life and free will… i guess, not to reach ever higher intelligence and speed of production of a good or service. People will yearn for experiences akin to “westworld” where they can live out their fantasies but still experience challenges and conflict and other human stuff. Or people will plug themselves in to a VR game world like the ‘metaverse’.
