Lighthouse 2 realtime ray tracing framework

A few people here probably remember brigade, the realtime raytracer demoed a few years ago.
Well Jacco Bikker the guy who created brigade has released Lighthouse 2 which is a realtime ray/pathtracing framework and its open source.
It goes a bit above my head at the moment but it looks promising for the future of realtime pathtracing.

Would love to see them use this in Blender, but where would it fit in? and is it compatible with their license? I can’t get Lighthouse 2 Sponza demo to run on my RTX though…

It’s apache 2 license which I think cycles also uses.
I’m not a developer, but it sounds like it makes it easier to utilize optix, rtx cores, radeon rays and embree, though i think the blender devs are already working on some of these.
they’ve also solved(or at-least partly) ratracing animations in realtime because most pathtracers have to recalculate the scene bvh every frame which can take longer per frame than the raytracing, so they’ve either optimized the bvh build-times significantly or figured some way around it.
