lightmap pack resets uv mapping


I have a problem when trying to bake ambient occlusion map for my model; everytime I do Lightmap Pack it resets my current uv map for the model. How to prevent this?

Enable the ‘New UV Layer’ option in the lightmap unwrap options, then select that UV Map when you bake your texture


Actually that doesn’t work since it still messes up the current UV map. However I found a better way, just add a new image in UV/image editor and bake that.
