Lights Flickering in Eevee 4.2 and above

Hey, so I’m experiencing lights flickering when rendering in 4.2 and 4.3. However, it is stable when rendering in 4.1.

Here is what i’ve tried:

  • Reducing render distance to the correct size
  • Removing the volume
  • Increased the light threshold under advanced sampling.
  • Turned off raytracing

All of the buildings are collection instances, I don’t think that could be a problem? I sort of need them to be instances.

At this point, i’m thinking about just rendering in 4.1

if anyone has any ideas, that would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

I suspect this is due to the de-noising and ray-tracing, you could try turning de-noising off and using more samples (but yea, it is a dark scene so it could be problematic). Or maybe using a light probes would fix it.

I do not use Eevee much but I would think that is what causes it.

4.1 is Eevee legacy and does not use ray-tracing.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I have tried turning off ray tracing in my tests, so it can’t be raytracing and denoising
