Lilia

Hey, hey people. Haven’t posted anything in a while so here it is. Made this little character as my graduation thesis for collage.

This was quite the undertaking as I pretty much the entire pipeline of creating a character which includes but is not limited to:

  • Modeling
  • Retopo
  • Texturing
  • Rigging
  • Animation

:sparkles: Inspiration:

Took lots of inspiration from Sam Yang once again: https://www.instagram.com/samdoesarts/

Also took lots of practical advice from Danny Mac on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DannyMac3d

For the texture painting, I did it mostly by hand painting following advice from Ahmed Aldoori: https://ahmedaldoori.com

Did the hair using Blenders’ Geo Nodes following Noggi’s tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZwWT1l44Ss

:sparkles: Used Models & Addons:

Used Alexander Antipovs “Female Body” as a base mesh which then I did a retopo on later: Female Body - Download Free 3D model by Alexander Antipov (@Dessen) [e96c6e3] - Sketchfab (The head was from my own base mesh which I frankesteined together with this body)

Used Auto-Eye by Lucas Falcao again for the eyes: https://blendermarket.com/products/auto-eye

Auto-Rig Pro did most of the rigging here: https://blendermarket.com/products/auto-rig-pro

:sparkles: Software used:

Modeling: ZBrush, Blender and Marevlous Designer
Retopo: ZBrush
Texturing: Adobe 3D Substance Painter
Rigging: Blender
Post-Process: Adobe Photoshop

I really enjoy the “frankesteined” method😅 glad to hear someone else using it to create cool stuff (and the detailed clothes had me sold). Nice work

Thanks a lot lol, working smart
