• Liminal Spaces •

Liminal spaces refer to transitional or in-between places, both physically and metaphorically, where the usual boundaries or norms are blurred or suspended. These spaces often evoke a sense of ambiguity, disorientation, or uncertainty. Examples include corridors, stairwells, airports, train stations, and other places that are neither here nor there, but somewhere in between.

Psychologically, liminal spaces can represent moments of transformation, where individuals may undergo significant personal growth or change. They can also evoke feelings of anticipation, waiting, or contemplation.

In art and literature, liminal spaces are often explored for their rich symbolic potential, reflecting themes of transition, passage, and the exploration of boundaries.
