Hey everyone ![ ](https://blenderartists.org/images/emoji/twitter/slight_smile.png?v=12)
I have scene to link here .:
I have a GN setup with some scattered objects and I have a texture driven by uvProject(PLANE)
Why? because I need projected texture over the objects…Not per instance.
As soon as I link my scene and try to move around ,my uvProjected geometry stays in the zero position…my geometry for uvProjection is parented to GN Plane…but still is not working
this is my expectation…
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
What would be a way around to duplicate (collection) a couple of times and lay them into the scene???
I duplicate with shift D my linked collection and place them around…soon as I library override Collection.001 I’m not able any more to move my collection.001,rest of them are fine.Soon as I LO them is the same story…
Hope this is not too confusing, please help if you can. The first question is more related to texturing but still is affected by linking…
Thank you so much,
Djordje

Hi, i think you need to override first then duplicate.
Thank you for quick answer, what’s happened if you randomly rotate the duplicated instances?
You get correct texture projection per instance?
The image show what i got. isn’t that what you are after?
if you rotate instances, what texture you get?
Just noticed, you didn’t override anything.Trying to understand what you are trying to show?
It’s probably my fault i didn’t and still don’t know exactly what you are trying to achieve? and what is the end product image you are after?
Thank you,
There is a two questions.
First one is how to move instace and uvProjection plane together…if not is possible, what would be another solution
Second one,is actually one that you tried to help with.
How to move linked instaces around even if they are library overrided.
Cheers
I think i got it. you need to select and make local the plain and the uv project that will fix it.
Yes,but I dont want to local them…Still need link foe easy updates.
I see, may be some one else will be able to help soon.
Thank you man, really not sure.Just trying to understand workflow with linking…
