Yeah, indeed but he played a lot in mainly French films and I always considered him French like many other people from France of his time, he is still Italian for sure
Understandable…
Back in those days there where a lot of middle european actors playing “everwhere” and “all over” even speaking the local language (at least for the movie) …and a lot of X-Y-Z copoductions where mutliple countries where involved… and a lot of actors not really well know nin their own country but famous in others… (also applies for singers).

Ah, yes, but he worked a lot also in Italy. Lino Ventura was very famous here in Italy too.
So maybe just change the title to:
AngioLino (Giuseppe Pasquale) Ventura – one of the most popular actors of French cinema
He spoke French without any accent (excepting a Parisian one at the beginning of his career) and spoke Italian with a slight French accent, having arrived in France at the age of seven.
