wow that is amazing texturing and lighting, i didn’t know the internal was that good.
Looks very professional, especially the first one.
What’s the difference between Ubuntu and Mint? I know that Kubuntu has the KDE graphical interface with Plasmids and Ubuntu has gnome, same thing as Blender, but what is the big deal about Mint?
afaik: mint is based on ubuntu, but ships with some proprietary codecs/drivers/software (mp3, graphic card drivers, flash plugin) so you don’t have to install them manually. also it includes some nice scripts/wizards that make your life easier.
what exactly do you mean with “same thing as blender”?
p.s.: great logo renders! mint-worth
Well both Ubuntu and Blender use the same GUI shell, Gnome, at least they did at one time.
jackblack: You’re probably confusing gnome and opengl.
Mint is based on ubuntu, but it’s tweaked in various ways to make it more novice-friendly.
T0m0: Nice renders.
Niiiiiice, I’m a windows user, but I think I’ve just found my new wallpaper
well done t0m0!!!
very nice work! both on these and your vimeo videos I must say. I’ve been watching them before more than one times
good work.
Really impressive, the quality is really top-notch, well served!
Hi very nice work!
What was the setup of the scene - area lights + hdri ?
Love your renders!!! You sure can render metals and glasses
Being a Mint user myself, I totally loved this thing! Wallpaper-ed the second one!
What was the setup of the scene - area lights + hdri ?
nop, there is only a plane with emit material (no lights,no HDRI, a bit of AO)
You sure can render metals and glasses
uuuh,i love metals and glasses…
Great work, nice mood
I like the background texture, was that with an image or?
Really nice and inspiring work!
While your metals are jaw droppingly beautiful, your leather backdrop is mindblowing.
First rate job all around. I am highly impressed. A tutorial would be cool, but I can understand when people want to keep such wonderful secrets close to their chest. My guess is that your materials and lighting are simplicity. From simplicity comes beauty. BTW, I think I know how he did it, because there is a technique I am using in blender right now that has similar results.
Either way, your work is, indeed, elegant.
Mind sharing your leather texture or material?
At least tell use wether it’s a texture or procedural
Procedural, definitely.
Blurry reflections, I’m guessing?
BTW, your signature is messed up. The link to your blog is linked to your flickr page…
