A recreation of Charles Janson’s photograph.
The mountains are made from the ANT landscape addon and a decimate modifier. There is a geometry nodes modifier I made that applies two textures, depending on the z facing angle of the face.
The interesting bit composition wise that you might not notice but is absolutely vital is the grey mist volume between the alpacas and the background mountains. It lowers the contrast behind the alpacas so they stand out. Check out the original photo. I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been to get the shot in real life with the mist behind them.
