LNG tanker

An LNG carrier · concept work done in Blender.

With only sparse plans and a handful of usable references, the project hinged on establishing believable proportions and a coherent structural rhythm across the hull and topside.

The asset evolved as a unified build · geometry, materials and surface treatment developed together, guided by how a ship of this scale weathers over time · rust blooms, salt streaks, heat tinting and layered paint. Blender’s instancing system proved essential for managing the repeated elements, especially the tanks, while keeping the scene efficient.

Everything was modeled, textured and rendered in Blender, with downstream adjustments in PSD. A drone-style shot is next on the list to bring the full scale into view.

I hope you can feel the vertigo of these industrial structures that I aimed to convey!
