So for whatever reasons, when i try to load in TIFF files into blender, they dont have alpha channels. It is impossible for me to load one in properly. I have no idea why but its really pissing me off.
Im trying to make a rough tree using Sapling. I have my model all set, but when i go to add in my leaves, theyre never properly mapped and theyre never alpha channeled properly no matter how i adjust the settings.
Can anyone help me out with these 2 issues?
Attach an example blend file that shows the problem. Remember to pack any textures into your blend file from the File / External Data menu
Ummm… Google It. It’ll tell you all you need to know about Photoshop, Tiff, and Alpha.
Except for the fact that Blender doesnt seem to want to support Tiff alpha files. Ive done this before, not in blender, and it usually remembers its alpha layer. Im asking here because Googling it doesnt always solve all your problems.
And i think getting a blend file on here with all its necessary packed files will probably be harder then just working this out on my own. Im really bad and importing/exporting stuff like that and making it work out ok. I mean, i cant even properly load an image file into blender, let alone associate it with a file and box it up and then post it on here.
EDIT: So now i have a new problem. How can i take hundreds of identical faces and unwrap them all and stack them all so that i only have to use a texture once to texture them all?
