Local positioning.

Where can I zero local positions of objects?

I move my object to the final position I want it, then I want to zero it, so if I do need to edit parts I can quickly move it, edit and move back. I’m not keen on hiding or moving between layers for what I’m doing.

Thanks.

Create an empty at the origin of your object and make the object the child of that empty with Ctrl+P. Now every time you move your object and you wish you could swiftly go back to it’s “original position” just press Alt+O while in object mode and the object will reset back to the empty’s current position.

You can always insert key-frames for it’s position. That could be a much faster way, no?
