While insetting a face, there’ll be options on the top bar to alter the depth, boundary, etc. I’ve combed through the keymaps and I wonder:

You can change your keymaps through Preferences in Keymap section, where you can set the button that responds for the inset face function, but as for the header, AFAIK, there’s no way to do this. Maybe using Python could’ve helpled you in that way, but I’m not sure.
