Here in blenderartist I want to encourage people who never learned programming - I discovered this wonderful and powerfull tool and now this is what I made!
This game is made only by logic bricks, I never used phyton scripts or phyton bricks… I just started with Always - AND - Motion… Delay - AND - Message… Status… etc.
I have finished and I am very proud! Is not the most wonderful game… but I made this alone!
I think… soon I will have it prepared for being download, I have to prepare some details
Logic Bricks ROCKS!
I will go to eat some shamrocks
Trolechaun wishes you
the best of the Luck!
oh, yes… I saw this game, I am not saying I am the only one! this is very cool one. but I have to say I made it alone and of course I have to try to make better graphics, uhm…
I hope people like it, your comment are very important
They not them, sure. Aww I was thinking about this for a moment but I was so tired cutting the video, uh… I suppose I have to change it.
Anyway… I have to make one more video showing more stuff in this game, this will be better
At first time I thought the game could be a 3d plattform like banjo-kazooie or other N64 games but then the game became really complicated and I needed to simplify. At the uni one of the professors said to me: Is better if you make something smaller, something you can manage
(think about giant videogames with thousand of characters and thousand actions is really a big temptation, all of us think about something giant… but there is one poin when you have to simplify and realise about your team - note: work alone is boring and this was hard also -)
yes yes and my game uses 80% logic bricks!
20%mouse look and health system!
I am jealous of people who made cool stuff with scripts. I am frustrated only seeing tutorials for logic bricks sometimes, I cannot imagine myself with a manual of phyton HAHAHA
If I would know about programming in phyton or other language the videogame would be different also, For me and this videogame logic bricks was enought and big challenge also…
the video looks cool. You did a lot of work by modelling all that objects.
Don’t worry regarding LogicBrick vs. Scripts. If you think about, you will discover, that working with logic bricks is programming too. Just not typing into a text file, but “drawing” it visually. Which is quite handy (even for a programmer).
Hmm… maybe in the future people can program more logic bricks and share in next blender versions. Then would be easier for everybody, there are a lot of scripts already. Anybody knows how it works? I mean, transform script into logic brick?
