This is an Ewok from Star Wars I made in Blender for a Discord competition (link to the blender discord channel below) with the topic of “Useless/Impractical”… This is the first organic thing I’ve modeled in years.

Awesome! I like the hood, and the facial features look pretty accurate. Also the lighting looks very good. But the spear head is stealing the attention of this render and unfortunately it appears it has no textures; and the straight tufts of fur are quite frankly driving my perfectionistic eyes nuts. I believe if just those two things were improved it would look really, really good.
Ah, sorry to hear about the spear… I wanted it to look slightly menacing, and I probably should’ve done a little texturing on the spear head… As far as the tufts of hair, they aren’t perfect… There’s a bit of Brownian, and a bit of randomness too them, just not enough I guess…

Great use of the fur. I think I may do something like that soon. Mostly because i don’t know how it works.

Haha well this piece is accurate! I really like the colors and composition here and the fur material. Spear head should have more detail or better materials since it seems to be the main focus here, but other than that it’s really great!
What did you do to make fur look like that? It looks great!
