This book is a great resource. https://anatomy4sculptors.com/anatomy-of-facial-expression/
Also, search for FACS
Your examples are 2D. It’s going to be nearly impossible to replicate these in 3D

It might be helpful if you look it up with keywords.

As far as I know, facial expressions are the same as regular characters.
It will look similar to the image, just because the shading looks 2D-feeling.
Just search Google for anime chart facial expressions drawing reference -pintrest
I used -Pinterest at the end to not show, as usually, you can never get to the original … I also selected Tools > Size > Large so that I don’t see a bunch of 512x512 images which are worthless to use…
Here is a nice topic on Anime for understanding Manga Facial Expressions…
I just don’t always understand what method should be used to get the desired effect with lines.
For example, for me very often the outline in the place of the lips does not work correctly
That’s my point- deforming a 3D mesh to create these lines is essentially impossible. You’d be much better off using an image texture for the mouth
I don’t know how to solve the problem because I’m not working on the same thing.
There are many examples in the link below. Take a look at this

any Hand Painted techniques should be treated as not Modifiable
Unless you want to Animate it Each Frame…
there’s also Grease Pencil but that falls in the Same Space as Post Processing…
In Anime–
Hand Painted is the #1 Thing done for Base Colors (Texture Painting)
and the Shadows is Control Via Shading Tab (Diffuse + RGB to Shader + Color Ramp > Constant)
and Outline is Control Via Mesh… (Inverted Hull + Shapekeys)…
That is the basis for most video game art with an anime theme.
I’m not a Pro - this is just some Knowledge that I like Passing Around
