LOOKING for a Blender Artist/Animator/Filmmaker to collaborate with to animate my short film, Lefty, which won the Remixing the Script Award from Open Spreenplay-ADC. Story is about an Arab-American kid’s first day of little league and his dad figuring out he bought the wrong-handed mitt. Originally planned to shoot the 7-page short live-action, but that poses challenges, so moving towards animation, making it cinematic with some realism and photo-impressionism. I have some initial money and I’m working on finding/raising more $'s. Would like to make a festival run with it, put the story out into the world, so looking to build a relationship, make something cool before the end of 2025, early 2026. A note: I made the mistake of creating a little post on LinkedIn and got spammed by B2B explainer video companies, so really looking for individuals with experience in filmmaking, storytelling, interest in various styles of animation, and using whatever tools are available to tell the story. I have experience in After Effects, so I understand some (some!) of the work that goes into this process, but don’t have the time/resources to learn Blender and other rigorous programs.
