Job Description:

We are looking for a 3D artist to help us meet the rising demand for immersive XR content from our many high profile clients.

As a company our main job is developing virtual reality training for industry clients. We also have a chroma key studio where we do realtime virtual production using Unreal engine.

At times we may also take on alternative projects like creating immersive and interactive visualizations for mobile devices, hologram displays, or AR glasses. 3D assets and animations play a key role in everything we do.

We are still a small team, so we are mainly looking for a generalist who is well versed in their 3D creation software of choice, and can do a little bit of everything from modeling to rigging and skinning to texture creation. We are open to specialists as well however, and are especially interested in good retopologists and animators, and technical artists.

We are mainly using blender in-house, and artists migrating from other software will be offered training and guidance in order for the transition to go as smoothly as possible.

The company can also be convinced to register licenses for other 3D modeling packages if you as an artist need to utilize software-specific tools in order to deliver the best possible quality of work.

Main duties:

  • Create 3D models for Virtual Reality experiences based image photo references.
  • Optimize or remodel CAD models
  • UV unwrap and texture the models
  • Export models for Unreal and Unity.
  • Environment creation and adaptation for virtual production (Unreal Engine)

Required skills:

  • Excellent 3D modeling skills
  • Highly competent in UV unwrapping
  • Intermediate or better rigging, skinning, and animation skills
  • A good understanding of PBR(Physically based rendering) materials
  • A good understanding on how 3D models work in Unity 3D and Unreal Engine
  • Great information management skills (asset naming conventions, etc)
  • Intermediate English skills (Must be fluent enough to discuss work with coworkers)
  • Must be pro-active and able to take direction/criticism
  • Great communication skills
  • Skilled at meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail and quality

  • Digital sculpting/organic modeling skills
  • Excellent texturing skills
  • Technical art skills
  • Experience with motion capture technology
  • An artistic eye
  • 2D/concept art skills
  • Japanese language proficiency (conversational)
