So I’m looking for tools, not sure if they exist or not, maybe if not you can suggest a work around:
1,: cutting parallel to to existing edges where loop cut is not working or I just don’t want to use it (because it would go beyond the faces I wanted to cut. Basically something like the knife tool, but making the cut aligned.
2,: making selected vertices to form an arch. like i slect 5 vertices and those between the first and last form an arch and I could set the radius of the circle they would be on. (2b: also an option for putting all selected vertex to a line defined by two vertices.)

One option, depending on what exactly want to do with your particular mesh (you don’t go into any specifics which would aid others giving you specific advice)
Cut the face with the knife or subdivide, then use edge slide with the Even option to make it a parallel with the adjacent edge
Another method.
Select the edge you want the cut to be parallel to.
Align the view to that selected edge (Shift+Numpad7)
Use the knife tool with angle constraint on
Thanks, I have learned some new stuff again. Knowing that there is an ‘even’ option during edge slide (though i used it when i did loop cuts ) and about the angle constrain option is usefull.
I did not find the blend action in mesh/transform tough.
