This is, indeed, a very nice model. But I don’t care too much for this camera point-of-view except as a detailed close-up to show the (excellent …) lettering detail. It clips-off too much, and it is “bulls-eye centered.”
That’s a fair point Sundialscv4. I considered different, more artsy angles, but in the end I just imitated one of the reference photos, just because, as you said, it shows of the details well, and you can see a bit of everything that way. I might render out a few different angles, maybe even throw in some DoF!

Raikuzu. You basically create a noise texture node and use the mapping node to scale it along the Y axis to create the look of fibers. Then use that as the mix factor for a diffuse and glossy node (glossy roughness was set to 0.1) I also mixed in an extra glossy shader after with a roughness of 0.05 (mix factor 0.2).
Nice work… can we see more renders? I just finished a version of this based on a picture from the description in the books, but mine doesn’t look nearly as good as yours.
