One of my “handy tools” in the real-photo days was a pair of L-shaped pieces cut from a stock photo-frame mat. In which I tried to find “the picture within the picture.”
If (!) you like, you could “crop” this image still further, to emphasize what he is holding in his hand. “This object,” and “his face,” and “the birds,” and just enough of the background to suggest what it is. The “tighter” you go, the more “despair.”
First of all thank you for those suggestions!
I also thought that the rose is not clearly visible and cropping would be the best course of action but as I was experimenting, it was very frustrating to keep the rose, the water reflection and the birds altogether(was tired of moving the camera angles). As it was just for practice I didn’t put much effort in it.
