I’ve been a blender user almost since it’s release, but I’ve been away for a while. I downloaded 2.61 the other day and have been doing some work using the new cycles rendering engine and I love it! Just look at the difference between the old renderer (scan render) vs cycles:

Very nice work blender team! I can’t wait for cycles to have all the bells and whistles on the to do list!

I would suggest using Sky texture for Background and some Planes with Emitter material applied to get cycles render more pleasing ;).
