Low-poly istanbul

“Fam, how’s it going? :eyes: Good?

:grin:About four weeks ago, I started a new personal project.
The goal: building a detailed 3D environment inspired by the Balat district in Istanbul.
More specifically, I’m focusing on capturing the unique charm and colorful architecture of this iconic neighborhood. :smirk:

Here’s some of the visual inspiration behind the project:

After exploring different workflows, I decided to go with a modular architecture.
This approach allows me to stay flexible, speed up production, and maintain consistency across the environment.

Once I had a solid base of assets, I started assembling an initial layout to test composition and scale.

After a few iterations, I settled on this final city layout.
Simple, readable, and full of potential for storytelling.

Here’s a walkthrough video.

I’d love to hear your thoughts—what would you improve or add to this environment? :upside_down_face: :sunglasses:
