LSCM unwrap button does nothing!!!!!!

Hi, I’m using blender 2.40 and I’m reading the following tutorial

but I’m stuck cuz LSCM button does nothing and it makes me really angry!
Does anyone know why? what would I be doing wrong?

Have you marked the seams? Have you selected all of the faces in ‘UV face select mode’ before using LSCM?

Have you opened the UV/image window? That’s where the unwrapped UV layout appears.

LSCM will only work on what you have selected.

in the 3D window (UV face mode - not edit or object mode) Select all [a]
in the UV window select [e] to perform LCSM

Thx, I’m no longer stuck now, the tutorial didn’t mention that :-?
