LW>B: equivalent of LW's "Motion Nodes"?

Looking for a starting point for the rabbit hole: what’s the Blender equivalent to LW’s “Motion Nodes”?

For example-- using graduated Weight Maps and a Rotation Node, one could “unfold” a pie chart in LW.

Tnx

The Animation nodes addon.

Remember that you also have modifiers, animatable booleans and non static weight maps in Blender.

Obviously I still have a lot to learn.

“Non-static”!!! :grimacing: :no_mouth: :no_mouth: :no_mouth: :scream:

What I mean is that you can effect weight maps by modifiers so they can change over time, not possible in LW, what I know of.

That’s what I figured, it just blew my mind.

Although, to be honest, usually some smart person has to spell out what things such capabilities make practical. Pour moi.

Two things that comes to mind is that; you can animate the influence a bone has over a mesh or animate the pinning of a mesh in physics simulation. Quite cool and useful if you ask me. :grinning:
