C4D has some interesting strengths I can imagine exploring if the price would be very reasonable for a small-scale freelancer. I also like to jump ship every once in a while, learning new tools and get inspired again.
If the price is very reasonable and I support a motivated developer with it, I don’t mind spending some money. For example, I recently upgraded to MoI 3D version 4, although I don’t know if I’ll be frequently using it again, as I once did.
But my most eagerly anticipated new tool will probably be free again: SDF Edit.
