Macro

Well, I want a Canon MP-E 65mm 5x Macro lens, but its way to expensive, so for the time being, I found a new way to take macros. I’ve read about the WideAngle reversal thing and my EF 18-55 lens had some wide angle to it. So I tried it.

I’ve noticed the DOF is UBER shallow. And im most cases, you need lots of light. Oh well.

So, If you don’t mind, I’ll link to the pics in my DA gallery, as I’ve put comments/descriptions on them there.

good job.

:o What are they doing to children were you come from! That toy is SCARY!

very nice stuff! i’m impressed

If you’re looking for a cheap macro solution there are magnifiying lenses that screw on like filters. It’s not as great as a true macro lens, but it’s a cheap alternative. Nice photos by the way.

Nice pictures. I’ve used this technique too. That’s how I took this picture.

Thanks

:stuck_out_tongue: Its only 2cm total, so… But it does look scary.

Yay, thanks!

I’d rather spend my money on a lens. Have you tried burning stuff with an slr lens? Some work better than magnifiying glasses

Cool!

You need to try to get better depth-of-field… seems like most of the picture is blurry.

I cant do that with the reversal lens way. Maybe i could, if i can get a real macro lens.
