Magic runes

Hi everyone!
I just finished my “magic scene” in Blender. Comments and criticism are very welcome!:grinning:

Wow, nice work! I assume, that you uploaded two images, because you weren’t sure which one is better? I like the one with the particle effects - it’s more moody. :slightly_smiling_face:

Beautiful… maybe a little “bloom” on to accent the light objects. Nice job, hope you work more to tell a story of adventure pending or something. Animation with move thru room and to these objects. You must be having fun with this.

thanks…

Yeah, that time I had not decided which one was better.

Thanks. I’ve already started working on animation. )

Great, will be looking for it. Let me know if you can remember.

I like this very much, and I think that the “sparkles” in the second image add positively to the effect.

Now, one thing that I’d suggest that you do is to make the light a bit more interesting. Give us a sense that there is a definite point-light source somewhere off-stage, and maybe give it some contrasting, e.g. bluish color. But then, also use that light to help direct our gaze to the first thing that you want our eyes to see, such as the compass/clock.

Bending my eyes a bit closer, I see that there’s some interesting-looking detail going on between the various lighted runes – it seems to be a layer of disc-shaped things – “how very interesting.” Dramatic lighting could draw that aspect out, and add an entire new layer of depth to your composition.

Thanks a lot. I’ll try to it out.
