Make clothes but body not dissappearing

Should I rig body first and then make clothes? So that the body underneath it, won’t dissappear.

This is an old project. Before I rigged it. I made the shirt, the same way as the jeans. Under the jeans the part of the body is still there but under the shirt, as you can see. There is nothing. How can I make sure any part of the body won’t dissappear?

You’re going to have to be more specific about your problem. Why would the body disappear?

Okay, i think i knew what you want (still don’t understand dissapear). If you have some character body, you have to rig it so that when animated it’s bends correctly. Same things hold to the clothes, they have to be added to the rig so fro example the weight painting for an arm has to apply in a similar manner to the arm part of a shirt for example. I would suggest to look for tutorials fro character rigging. On the other hand because you asked:

It depends… if the body doesn’t have other clothes it might be easier to do it in one working step. Regarding dissapear… it is easier to delete the parts of the body which aren’t visible for a special clothed version of the character because then there are no intersection of faces in an animation. (That’s usually done in ingame models.)

Oh like that. But what if I want to change the clothes after I rigged the body? The shape of the clothes would change.

For example in that picture there is no belly button. Even though I made it with everything.
What if I want to make a shirt that is short so you could see the belly button? Right now I can’t make the whole belly again because it would be shaped weird.

I know I did a lot of things wrong with that character. So I don’t use it anymore.
Also with the new one, I still make mistakes but I try to learn and do things differently by watching a lot of YouTube videos.
Hopefully I learn different better ways

Then maybe the weights for the vertex groups and armature have to be realligned.
