I’m using cycles. Trying to keep the lit surfaces the way they are and also keep the edges of the shadows hard. But make the shadows lighter.
How can I do this?
With fill light for a specific area,or increase envroiment light to increase all shadows(world backround).In real world, the blue scattered light from the atmosphere gives us the outdoor blueish shadows.And the sun is like a key light.
Big size lights gives soft shadows,small size lights hard shadows.But this is for the keylight, it controls the hardness/softness for the shadows too.
For brighter shadows,increase the fill/backround light,this way you keep your shadows soft or hard and just gives it more light.
