making flowing objects,Capes, Hair?

how would i go about making hair act as hair, or make a cape blow behind a character as they are running/walking? I assume it has something to do with the cloth optionin Blender, but im not entirely sure as to make it properly function, or even if the effects of it are apprent in BGE. If So can someone give me an explaination please? thanks.

It doeasnt have anything to do with cloth, when it comes to bge. Its in logic panel there where you usually set physic type there is option called soft body. If you want to make a cape you’ll have to set hinge to the body in object panel.
Also you could record physic movement and then play back the animation in game which is less cpu intensive.
