Marble Machine Simulation

Hi  I have fun creating some new blocks for my marble run kit. The wheel lifter is definitely my favourite. What do you think I should add next? Share your ideas!

Enjoy!

These animations you are doing are wonderful (and relaxing)!

Are these done with a Rigid-Body physics simulation? Or are you micromanaging (animating) how each ball (and the other moving parts) move? Inquiring minds want to know!

(edit: I just found the answer (Yes: rigid-body sims) under another one of your posts. Thanks for sharing!)

Thanks! All my works are made with physics simulation:)

Awesome! Thank you!

Very nice! Really. All build in Blender physics or have you used something special?

Thanks! Rigid body physics only.

Truly stunning work! Must have been very difficult to get those collision shapes correct. How did you approach this? Would be nice to see a screen shot of the wire meshes to see how high res they actually are.

Love it! Well done

Love the wood, and for something that appears so simple, it would have been far from that to create. Nice job, love it… Top Job

Thanks! It’s actually quite easy. Here’s the wireframe.

cheers. So do you use the actual rendered geometry for collisions, or is this a lower res proxy for the collisions?

Low res, exactly like the wireframe.
