when you produce a video in blender which you want later on use as a base for motion tracking. Would it be a good idea to use some Textures which are good for the motion tracking to position the markers on? Is there a perfect design for a marker? How would it look like?
Not sure why you wouldn’t just use the .blend scene camera movements?
But anyway, the tracker needs 8 reference points to reconstruct a 3D scene, but only 4 points for a planar track. If you only need a 2.5D result use the planar track and make a simple plane with dots in the corners.
Traditionally a card with unique corners is used for real world live tracks so that they can be rotated with out confusion. Otherwise just 2 dots per corner should do it? Bear in mind that the larger this shape is the better the spatial reconstruction.
