I started learning Blender recently and this is my personal project. The idea is girl riding a bear goes to a Tea party. They’ve got a Samovar and a barrel of honey! Inspired by the Russian folktale. This is not going to be realistic so I will probably not make real fur and leave it sculpted.
So far I’ve got blockout of the characters. The bear was blocked from subdivided cubes and Masha’s base mesh was basically modeled from cube so it has not bad topology. I even put her in a pose with the Pose brush in Sculpting mode.
Thanks! The bear’s anatomy needs some fixes though, especially the limbs D: Anyway, Blender sculpting feels better than I expected (I have experience in ZBrush)
I cut her head off, sculpted with Voxel remesher and then retop’d again. I’m not really happy with the face, gonna tweak it for a long time I guess. I’m also planning to retopo the bear before I start adding details. What I really miss in Blender sculpt mode is inability to vertex paint it with multires on :<
It’s coming along nicely, keep it up.
I do believe the girl looks somewhat unhealthy thin though. Maybe that was done on purpose, but it’s an observation I thought I’d share.
