So… I was watching cars with my little cousin (12) and I was inspired to have a go at modeling the pick-up truck “Mater”. All comments/crits are definitely appreciated!

Okay, here’s an update, I made an animated GIF so I don’t have to keep uploading pictures haha. I still have a fair amount of work to do, but let me know what you think I feel like I am making relatively good progress!

For one, I am impressed that the gif worked. I haven’t seen it done on this site. For two,(read this in his accent) its lookin’ purtty darn good!
lol me too but it got a little messed up :P. And thanks a lot for the comments, I hope to have most of the rest of the body done today (mouth, tongue, crane, etc) but we’ll see what happens. Thanks again for the comments
UPDATE!!! So I got a little more done with the mouth and the bed wheels… not sure if I want to model the treads or just texture just yet, but we’ll see. Also, I have my first look at it with smoothing and everything rendered in cycles. Again C&C is always welcome !
Why is the Engine top so low poly?
I haven’t made it yet haha looking for some good references of it, it’s kinda difficult to find :P, I’ve done the side mirrors, I have to do the cables, the tow, some lights, and I think I am going to redo the mouth, not sure I like it all that much, we’ll see thanks for the input
