Material applied to every face

Your model currently has three materials. You can do that, but you need to either mix the two different textures inside one material using a black and white mask, or just keep the material that is assigned to the ears and texture it separately.

I should also mention that your model has bad topology. That makes it harder to select edge loops to make seams, and probably affects the unwrapping result too. It has a lot of faces that have more than four sides, but look like quads:

You want to stick to using all quads if possible. N-gons can cause a variety of issues like bad shading and odd deformations when those faces become curved. Here is a video that explains a lot of these issues:

The topology needed to be worked on before you got to the texturing stage, but since it’s a lot of work to correct (would probably have to redo a lot of the model) you might as well just accept the issues it has and finish texturing anyway.
