Material Definition Documentation for Cycles

I 've posted earlier a question about Material Definition Documentation and the possibility to use ascii text based material definition libraries in blender/cycles.

I found this ability extremely useful in architectural visualization where a single material definition can be used for a set of similar materials (i.e. RAL colors for Plastics, wooden floors, wall paints etc.)

Further more an automation app could be used to automatically create those material libraries (i have one home bowed for another pipeline and looking to incorporate Blender into the mix) .

Is there any info, URLs, e-mails that could into this direction ? :eek:
