Material Library/Manager Addon

Hey guys.

I was searching for an updated answer to some of my questions. Searching takes me back to 2010/11 posts. :confused:

a. Is there a working material library/manager addon?
b. Is an official one planned for future versions of blender?
c. Is anyone making something similar to this?
d. Is anyone interested in having this feature? If so, I’d make one.

If you don’t understand what I mean, this is how it should look like:

Blender Institute are planning on working on a asset manager for the gooseberry project… not sure if this will include a material library but i wouldnt be surprised.
