Medieval village

Hi everyone!
i just wanted to create an environment with these medieval assets that i made.
Modeling in blender and texturing in substance painter.
Trees created with Sapling addon.
Characters created with Makehuman.
Cycles rendering.
Thanks!

Hey, this looks great!
Also, what tree assets did you use? Are these like full on detailed tree models or low poly trees because they look good!
My blender gets super heavy and lagged up when I use more than 4-5 trees in my scene.

Thanks! i made the trees with sapling addon included in blender, you can see it in the process video, what i did was created 2 trees, then i created instances of the trees with alt+D, this will save memory, vegetation is always difficult.

Ohh, that’s sweet, I’ll give that a try next time!
I’m assuming instances are different to duplicates?
As in using Shift+D copies the whole thing and uses up more memory?

When we duplicate with alt+D we create linked objects so any change we make in edit mode will take effect in all linked objects, but we can still transform each model in object mode, it’s like using particles or geometry nodes, anyway when we create large amount of vegetation the computer will suffer, but it depends of the pc specs of course.
