Memory: Backyard Cleaning

A relatively short project I found time to do over the last few months.

Like the previous project, this image is inspired by my childhood home. When I was younger, my family owned a fish tank with some goldfish. It wasn’t a particularly big or well-equipped tank, which meant that almost every weekend was spent removing the goldfish from the tank and letting them swim in shallow waters (see above) while we cleaned the tank.

The whole process occurred in the backyard where we had an outdoor cubicle with a tap - when not in use, it doubled as a storage area for random things like washing boards and ladders. Exposed to the elements, it wasn’t a particularly clean or well-maintained area (and did suffer from a lot of dead leaves).

Hope you enjoy! Am working on my next artwork, which… will be quite different from this one

would you like to share wireframe too?

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

Not sure which view people like better

Many materials I used are from Megascans/ BlenderKit
Of the objects, I modelled the tap, pipe, window, washing rack, hose, basin and tiles; ladder, brush, towels and the objects outside the cubicle are assets from BlenderKit/ Megascans

It looks incredibly realistic, the only exception is the towel, which looks too clean and new

Thank you

Thank you! Much of the grime on the walls is just a noise + AO mask and darkening of the existing material colour.

Definitely could have dirtied the cloths a bit more or introduced a bit more colour variation! I will just explain it away by saying that it’s a fresh pack of cloths bought from the supermarket :joy:
